Art Weisman, CFP®, RICP®, CPA (not practicing) is a Managing Director of Investments and Fundamental Choice Portfolio Manager with Lakeside Wealth Management Group. He partners with successful individuals and families to simplify complex financial decisions, helping them move forward with clarity and confidence. Art takes a highly personalized approach, beginning with a deep understanding of what matters most to each client, whether that is retirement planning, tax efficiency, wealth transfer, or overall financial security. He builds tailored strategies aligned to those priorities and places strong emphasis on helping clients understand the "why" behind every decision.
"My goal is to break down complex financial matters, so clients understand what they are doing, why they are doing it, and feel confident moving forward."
With Lakeside Wealth Management, Art leverages the firm's research and planning resources to support decisions related to estate considerations, tax-aware investing, and risk management. He collaborates closely with a network of specialists within Wells Fargo and coordinates with clients' external advisors, including estate planning attorneys and accountants, to ensure a cohesive and informed approach. His investment philosophy is grounded in a long-term perspective. Art focuses on building diversified portfolios and guiding clients through varying market conditions without losing sight of their overarching goals. He helps clients stay committed to their strategy and avoid emotional decisions that can hinder long-term progress.
Art began his career in public accounting, spending 12 years with Peat Marwick Mitchell (KPMG), where he worked with privately held businesses. He later gained experience in commercial real estate through his family's business. These experiences continue to influence his practical, real-world perspective on financial decision-making.
Art holds a BSBA in Accounting, cum laude, from The Ohio State University, where he participated in the honors accounting program. Originally from Cleveland, he continues to call the area home with his wife of 40 years. Together, they have two sons and two granddaughters, along with their dog, Duke, a Yellow Lab and Golden Retriever mix. Outside of his professional life, Art enjoys spending time with family, traveling, kayaking, and finding ways to give back to his community. He values staying connected to the community he calls home and supporting initiatives that make a positive difference in the lives of others.
